Megan Smith, Esq.
After graduating business school with a degree in human resources management, Megan graduated law school from Loyola University Chicago. Megan specializes in commercial and labor and employment litigation. With a background focused on representing clients in litigation matters including handling disputes involving employment discrimination claims, breach of contract claims, unfair trade practices and unfair competition claims, raiding claims, breach of fiduciary duty and loyalty claims, and enforcement of restrictive covenants. Megan has interacted with and advised clients in regards to employment related issues regarding talent acquisition, termination and best practices. Megan has researched and analyzed federal and state regulations to implement changes in organizational policy and advised clients how to implement changes to bring employment policies and practices up to date with the most recent regulations.

Megan has successfully handled employment discrimination claims brought before the Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR).
Megan has successfully tried a variety of employment and contract cases in arbitration before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) on behalf of a national securities broker-dealer client.
Megan has obtained immediate injunctive relief on numerous occasions on behalf of a national securities broker-dealer and global financial services firm to protect clients’ trade secrets and confidential information, and enforce its rights under restrictive covenant contracts in state and federal courts nationwide.
